Why Big Fr and Hungry F

1. Why Francium is the biggest element with the lowest IE and EN
Francium has seven valence shells which makes it the biggest element. Since it is so big, it takes more energy to get rid of an electron therefore it has the lowest ionization energy.

    2. Why Helium is the smallest element with the highest IE
It has one shell so it is harder to remove an electron from the tight fitted shell. It takes more energy to remove an electron from a small atom.

      3. Why Noble Gases don't have EN values

Noble Gases have full valence shells so they do not gain electrons.

      4. Why Fluorine has the highest EN

Fluorine has the the highest electronegativity because it is the smallest element in the Halogens family so it has the most attraction to electrons.

        Platinum is Element #78

        1. My Name:
        • My name in German is "Platin"
        • My name in Italian is "Platino"
        • My name in Dutch is "Platina"
        • Origin of name: from the Spanish word "platina" meaning "silver"
        2. My Image:

        3. My Nucleus:
        • My most common isotope contains 78 protons and 117 neutrons.
        • My most natural occuring isotope is 195Pt.
        • My natural abundance is 33.8%.
        • My average atomic mass is 195.08 amu
        4.My Electrons:
        • There are 78 electrons in a neutral atom.
        • I have 6 electron shells.
        5. My atomic radius is 1.3e-11

        6.My properties:
        • magnetic
        • conductive
        • expansion
        • strength
        • bulk
        • electrical
        7. My Home (Body, Planet, Universe)
        • The abundance of platinum in my body is  grams
        • My abundance in the Universe is 5 ppb.
        8. My Compounds:
        • I form chloroplatinic acid, H2PtCl6
        • I also form hexachloroplatinic acid ("H2PtCl6", formally (H3O)2PtCl6·nH2O )

         9. My Story:
Platinum was discovered by Antonio de Ulloa at 1735 in South America.

        10. My Jobs:
        • jewellery
        • wire and vessels for laboratory use
        • thermocouple elements
        • electrical contacts
        11. Interesting Facts:

        • Platinum is definitely one of the rarest and most sought after precious metals. Most people do not realize how rare platinum is. All of the platinum ever mined would fit in the average living room. There is only about 133 tons of platinum mined every year compared to approximately 1,782 tons of gold. It takes 10 tons of ore and a five-month process to make 1 ounce of platinum.
        • Some people believe that platinum is a somewhat newer metal, however, it is legendary. The ancient Egyptians and South American Inca's thought it was priceless. Louis XVI of France made a proclamation that it was the only medal fit for royalty.

WELCOME to Angeliummm World ! =D

This is the first time I'm making a blog IN CHEMISTRY! Our teacher, Mr. Olson, is so cool and great at singing! My URL name is weird but I couldn't think of anything else. Hope you enjoy =P

I love to EAT alootttt and you know I that's true because that's the first thing I talked about.
